2024 Iowa ACS Tournament Results are in!
The Iowa ACS Qualifications Committee reviews players to fairly rate them in our association. League Operators must register their players in each division according to their skill level. In reviewing players, we rely heavily on our League Operators and these guidelines:
Players that have played singles in 2018 or later at Iowa ACS will remain at the same level until they finish high enough in our tournament to advance (currently the top 4% in each division moves up one level). Standard players will be reviewed each year and will move to Open if they cash twice in the last five years of play at Iowa ACS. Standard players who cash in any other state tournament will also be reviewed.
The Qualification Committee will review all new players and questionable existing players. If a player has been rated incorrectly, the Iowa ACS will review that player’s rating, at which time “known ability” may be used.
Any questions about player ratings will be addressed with their League Operator and a Request for Reclassification form may be submitted but final decisions will be made by Iowa ACS.
Out-of-state players ratings are determined by the Qualifications Committee, based on reviews from trusted sources within each player’s state.
It is very important that we make this tournament as fair as possible for all players since team competitions are dependent on correct singles ratings
The Iowa ACS Qualifications Committee diligently assesses players to ensure fair ratings within our association. To maintain a balanced competition, League Operators are required to register their players in each division based on their skill level. In the process of evaluating players, we place significant trust in our League Operators and adhere to the following guidelines.

Review Requirements before submitting a Reclassification Request. The Qualifications Appeal form is to be used by Iowa ACS league operators/players to appeal a decision made by the Qualification review board. This will give the league operators or players an opportunity to express their opinion on players’ skill level placement.

state tournament and not have finished “in the money.” Failure to cash is NOT a guarantee that the
reclassification request will be granted.
2) The player’s League Operator must submit this request to the IA ACS Qualification Committee by
August 1st.
NOTE: The IA ACS Qualifications Committee reserves the right to deny any reclassification request
